Early in Q1 2018, Callaway needed to drum up sales. I decided to implement some CSS slideshow animations in a series of pre-order marketing to boost interest in a new line of wedges. The cutting-edge content generated a lot of calls & excitement among fans and had open rates over 30%, with over $25k in direct sales in just a few days.

Callaway needed to promote the recently-acquired OGIO brand and create awareness of the products. We launched a campaign through both the Callaway and OGIO brands, showing product categories and and a visually-appealing offer to entice new customers. (Dynamically-populated product recommendations based on browsing data became a staple of all our emails, driving sales higher.)

Odyssey Golf had lots of new products and articles to feature in 2018. Rave reviews and professional tournament wins helped to provide compelling content, and a brand tune-up kept subscribers engaged. This resulted in the newsletter mailing list increasing from 60k to 200k within a quarter.

OGIO had been recently purchased by Callaway, and there were not enough resources to drive revenue through the brand. The marketing team pushed to create a site-wide sale that we could feature in email and social campaigns to increase sales. This Valentine’s Day themed campaign was the perfect solution, resulting in an overall margin increase.

Epic Star is an elite line of clubs created for players needing more distance and precision. Quality metals drive the price point up quite a bit, which could have potentially deterred average customers, so this mailing was segmented into three groups: An irons email to subscribers who are big spenders but haven’t recently bought irons, a driver email with the same qualifications for drivers, and a general send featuring the drivers to the rest of the list.
